AXA Achievement Community Scholarship
Have you heard about the AXA Achievement College Scholarship?
“Take your mind off your worries by helping others.” ~ Anonymous
I love this quote and truly believe that making a difference in the lives of others is priceless.
Volunteering and community service might not be a #1 priority for high school or college students, but making the time to reach out and give of your time and talent really does benefit both the giver and the receiver.
If you have been searching for scholarships, you probably will have noticed that many of them want students to share about how they have helped their community by volunteering.
Scholarship applications typically ask:
How many volunteer hours?
Leadership qualities?
Community service involvement?
Don’t let these questions scare you off from applying for these scholarships!
If you don’t have many (or any) community service hours, START NOW. My son had a few random hours (National Honor Society requirements, church fundraisers, etc…) before his senior year in high school, but MOST of his service involvement came from a project that WE (Yes, parents you can help!) came up with early in his senior year.
The key is “initiating“, “founding“, or “creating” a project. This is very impressive to scholarship judges!
I go into much greater detail in my scholarship guide ebook, so get your copy here and learn how community service can help you or your student WIN SCHOLARSHIPS.

One award that requires such a project is the AXA Achievement College Scholarship. AXA Equitable gives out thousands of dollars a year with this scholarship. The deadline is early each December, but the company only accepts the first 10,000 applicants, so be sure to submit your application as soon as the awards open. Learn more about it here:
