College Scholarship Tip:

Don’t Wait for College Decisions

Use this college scholarship tip to win more money for school and avoid a very common mistake made by many students!

College Scholarship Tip - Do Not Wait for College Decisions

Many students assume that they cannot begin applying for college scholarships until they have been accepted into college.

This is wrong and many scholarship deadlines will pass if they wait until college acceptance letters arrive.

Students do not need to be 100% sure of their college choices when applying for scholarships.

They just need to have a few colleges in mind that can be listed on each scholarship application, if that information is requested by the scholarship providers.

If they win the scholarship money, they will either be sent a check in their name or a form asking which college the organization can send the money to in the name of the student.

Want to win scholarship money? See this step-by-step scholarship guide!

Unless the scholarship is specific to a certain school, students can have the money sent to whatever college they have decided to attend.

Students should apply for scholarships all throughout their senior year, doing their very best not to let any scholarship opportunities past them by.

High school students (as well as middle schoolers) who are not yet seniors can also apply for college scholarships, as there are thousands of opportunities out there for all levels of students.
