College Scholarship Tip Friday: Make a List!
Looking for an effective college scholarship tip? Now is a great time to come up with a list of scholarships that you or your student plan on applying for this school year.
By doing the research now and having a list to work from, more time can be spent writing essays, perfecting applications, and making sure all required materials are gathered and sent well before each scholarship due date.
Sign-up for several online scholarship search sites and buy or borrow scholarship listing books from the library as a beginning step.
Read the websites of all area high schools and see if you or your student qualifies to apply for any of the scholarships listed for local students. Local scholarships have less competition and should always be a student’s first step in winning money for college.
