This is a really easy college scholarship tip that students can take advantage of any time:
Before writing any scholarship essay, students can go to the website of the organization offering the scholarship money and see if they have shared the essays of previous winners. Many companies like to do this and by reading the essays of the students who were picked to win the scholarship money, new students who are applying can get a good feel for the kind of student and essay that the judges favor.
Remember, the essay is the heart of the scholarship application and the best way for the judges to get a true look at each applicant.
Many students skip scholarships that have a required essay and decide to just apply for easy awards, but this really is a big mistake because scholarships with essay requirements typically have less competition.
If students take the time to write a powerful essay, they can use it for many scholarship applications. Recycling essays is smart, saves time, and allows a student to apply for even more scholarships. Be sure to read 3 Top Reasons to Recycle College Scholarship Essays for more tips.
