A scholarship party is when students find scholarships together!
Scholarship searching can be fun when a group of students meet and search for scholarships by gathering in one location.
Each student brings a scholarship listing book (like this one), tablet, or laptop, and scholarships are found while discussing college majors, interests, and possible careers.
Parents can help by providing notebooks, pens, snacks, and a comfortable place for a group of students to work.
Students follow set guidelines and share with each other:
- Scholarship due dates
- What level of student the award is open to
- Amount to be won
- Materials needed, such as letters of recommendation, transcripts, etc.
- Essay details
- Website of the organization offering the award
- Other important information – Use the Scholarship Toolkit Organizer for a complete list
After a few hours of searching and sharing, each student will have a nice list of scholarships that they can apply for and lots of scholarship motivation.
