Most high school students are unsure of their exact career choice and enter college undecided about their major. This actually opens up more scholarship possibilities and opportunities.
For example, if a student is thinking about engineering OR graphic design, they can apply for scholarships specifically aimed at future engineers AND graphic designers.
Students should explore all interests and apply for every scholarship that they can, especially ones that relate to their interests at the time of applying.
When signing up for scholarship search sites such as Fastweb.com or TUN.com, they need to check the boxes for ALL of their possible career choices.
This will send more scholarship matches to their inbox. When the time comes to declare a major in college, they will have had a few years of taking various classes that help them decide on a major and see their strengths and talents more clearly.
In the meantime, students should leave no scholarship stone unturned and apply, apply, apply!
