Project Yellow Light Billboard Scholarship
Open to high school juniors and seniors between the ages of 14 and 20, and undergraduate college students between the ages of 15 and 25. The winning applicants will receive a scholarship toward the school of their choice (college, university, junior college, or technical school) or associated school fees. There are also two other scholarships available with April 1 deadlines of up to $8000. (Video and Radio)

Open to “cancer fighters.” These students come in a number of forms. Some have battled cancer themselves. Some help a loved one or friend through their own fight. Some have been leaders in their school and community in the fight against cancer. Students must be graduating seniors from a public or private high school planning to attend a post-high school institution (two or four year college, vocational or technical school) within the United States in the fall of 2026. Financial need is not considered.

There are two scholarships available; the FIRST Robotics Scholarship, which is open to high school seniors or undergraduate students at an accredited university who have participated on a FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC) or a FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC) team during high school and the GIVERSITY in STEM Scholarship, which is open to high school seniors and college students. For both scholarships, students must intend to study a STEM-related major.

Lockheed Martin limited the eligible majors this year. They removed mechanical engineering. They also posted a pdf of all the majors that do not qualify. You might want to update that.

Do you know how legit the Dr. Massoud and Dr. Shepherd scholarships are? I have found several named for other doctors, due on the 15th of various months, all pointing to a website with almost identical format, they never respond to contact emails asking questions, they never publicize any past winners, and when you google some of these doctors, some are in trouble for fraud. It makes me wonder how legitimate these are and if there is any way to find out. Here is a list of past one who never got back to our inquiries (the only way to make contact is the link is the application) and who never posted past winners anywhere that I have seen:

Hi, Dawn. This is extremely concerning to me. Not that the scholarship formats look very similar, that is standard because there are companies who are paid to set up scholarships, but that none of the emails you sent were responded to. I am doing to do some digging on these scholarships and I will remove them from my lists if I suspect they are not legitimate. Thank you for letting me know!
