“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” – Benjamin Franklin
The years leading up to making a college choice can be exhilarating, thrilling, and challenging. But this exciting time that is replete with hope for the future can also be downright stressful — and the number one cause is money.
A young scholar should be concerned with subjects like mathematics, literature, and science, but with the cost of attending college skyrocketing, many students find themselves worrying about money instead. And those budding academics with disabilities have enough hurdles to clear throughout their college experience without the addition of funding issues.
Thankfully there are a plethora of grants and scholarships tailored specifically for students with disabilities.

To make research easier for students with disabilities to find scholarships that match their unique situation, awards are often separated into different categories.

This is also a fantastic resource for students with medical disabilities who are trying to get money for college, as this parent shared in my Scholarship Help and College Talk for Parents group:
“Get the Medical Loophole book by Jason White. Best book I bought. We got $1000 per semester for as long as our daughter attends college. You can use this til you complete a Master’s Degree.
Plus the one we got was for NON-Tuition. So, books, any needs like computer, Room &Board, Tech Fees” D.N., parent
