How does a $36,000 college scholarship sound? $5,000? $2,500? How about a free Chromebook 2? April is Financial Literacy month and financial expert Dave Ramsey, together with Fifth Third Bank, is offering students a chance to win money to help pay for school.

Here are the details of Dave Ramseys Financial Literacy College Scholarship:

  • Scholarship challenge is open from April 7-24
  • High school seniors have a chance to win a scholarship worth $36,000, $5,000 or $2,500
  • High school freshmen, sophomores and juniors have chance to win one of three Toshiba 13.3″ Chromebook 2s
  • Enter the contest by completing and submitting the Dave Ramsey’s High School Financial Literacy Challenge
  • Open to students who are U.S. residents and attend an accredited high school or approved home school program

Winning Tips:  Students need to score 100% in the Financial Literacy Challenge to be considered for the scholarship money or Chromebook prize. High school seniors also need to write an essay as part of the challenge. Taking the time to learn as much as possible about Dave Ramsey and what he teaches about financial literacy is a MUST.

The essay should also reflect and focus on this knowledge and include references to Dave Ramsey and Fifth Third Bank. Students need to read this article to write a stronger financial literacy essay. There is only one entry per person, so do not attempt to take the Financial Literacy Challenge until reviewing all possible aspects of Dave Ramsey’s teachings.
