Open to students who are enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited U.S. college or university for the 2025-2026 academic year. High school graduates may apply if they are enrolled in college for the semester immediately following the application deadline. Students must have persevered in the face of adversity and want to use their life experiences to help others. They also have a “Friends of the Firm” Scholarship open to deserving students with a connection to the law firm.

Wellroot Family Services Scholarship
Award Amounts: $1000 to $3500
Open to high school seniors or graduates, current postsecondary undergraduates, or graduate level students in the U.S. Students need to plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two or four year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the U.S. for the entire upcoming academic year. This scholarship program supports youth who have experienced foster care, homelessness, and other significant challenges, and it recognizes students for their community service, academic performance, and demonstrated leadership in school. You can apply once a month. Keep in mind that this is a scholarship drawing (contest, sweekstakes) and the chances of winning are extremely low. It is better to find scholarships with traditional requirements such as an essay, letter of recommendation, school transcripts, etc.

My daughter has been applying to quite a few scholarships, what’s the average number you’d say it takes to apply to for people who get all of college covered? Is it 100? 500? She’s done about 20 since September, which I tell her isn’t a lot.
