Before applying for ANY SCHOLARSHIP, be sure to download a copy of How to Win College Scholarships and join these parents and students who have found the edge needed to submit applications that scholarship judges love.
SMART TIP: As you read through the guidelines for each of these awards, if you find a scholarship that you or your student do not qualify to apply for quite yet, add it to your list for when they will qualify.
For example, a scholarship for a college freshman that is found by a high school senior can be added to the list “College Freshman Awards”.

Open to high school juniors and seniors, and students currently enrolled in a two-year or four-year undergraduate program at a college, university, or technical school in Texas.

Open to high school seniors who are members of the National Honor Society (NHS).

Scholastic Awards Art and Writing Scholarships
Award Amounts: $500, $1000, $10,000

Ai Engstrom National Scholarship
Award Amount: $1000
Open to any current, full-time student of an accredited American university or college, with a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 2.5. There is no age requirement.
Deadline: December 1 (and August 1)
Student Transportation Scholarship
Award Amount: $500
Open to elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as college and graduate students.
Deadline: December 3
Wellroot Family Services Scholarship
Award Amount: (58) $1000 to $4000
Open to students who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the United States for the entire 2022-2023 academic year. For most awards, applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
Deadline: December 13
Award Amount: $1000
Open to any student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Fall 2021 or Spring 2022 at any accredited American college, university, or trade school.

Open to students who are at least 13 years old, and are enrolled or will enroll in a college or university in the U.S., and a legal resident of the U.S. or Puerto Rico.

Open to both undergrad and graduate students attending any accredited school within the United States. High school seniors who are 18 and over and have been accepted to a university may also apply.

Equitable Excellence Scholarship
Award Amounts: (100, one time) $2500, (100, renewable) $5000
Open to college-bound graduating high school seniors in the U.S.
Deadline: December 17 or until 10,000 applications are submitted, whichever occurs first.
Award Amount: (20) $20,000
Open to college-bound U.S. high school seniors who are committed to sports in some way. Students do not have to be planning on playing sports in college to apply.
Deadline: December 17
AceableAgent Higher Education Scholarship
Award Amount: $500
Open students who are currently enrolled at, or planning to attend, a 2-4 year university or community college, graduate school program, or trade school located in the continental U.S. College-bound high school seniors are eligible to apply.
Deadline: December 20
Innovation in Education Scholarship
Award Amount: $500
Open to current high school or college students in the United States or Canada.
