Elks Most Valuable Student College Scholarship
The Elks Most Valuable Student College Scholarship is a very valuable one, so if you or your student qualifies to apply, don’t skip over it!
[2022 Edition]
These scholarships are for four years and range from $1000 to $50,000. Here are all the important details:
- Open to U.S. high school seniors
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens
- NOT a members-only scholarship
- Online-only scholarship
- DEADLINE: Mid-November (Changes yearly)
Winning Tips: There are many levels and thousands of dollars in scholarship money up for grabs with this one, so do NOT skip this opportunity because it seems more involved than the typical scholarship.
The biggest mistake students will make in regards to the Elks Most Valuable Student College Scholarship is assuming they are not qualified to apply because they or a family member are not a member of the Elks Club.
ANY student who meets the above criteria may apply, even if the nearest Elks lodge is hundreds of miles away from their home. This is an online-only scholarship with VERY specific and detailed guidelines as to what is required to be included in the application.
Students need to take advantage of the chance to shine with the “Exhibits” they are allowed to submit and share with the judges.
On a personal note, my own son’s application was chosen to advance to the next level, but ultimately did not win for our state. Instead, he received a letter from the local Elks lodge where he had submitted his application with the happy news that they were so impressed with his application and presentation that they awarded him a scholarship of $1000 from their chapter. YES!
