Find More Local Scholarships
Are you trying to find more local scholarships? This tip WORKS beautifully!
[2022 Edition]
Here is a GREAT tip for finding more local scholarships (the scholarships that are offered to students in the area where YOU live):
Did you know that you can look at OTHER area high school websites for local scholarships?
Many (if not all these days) list the local scholarships that their students can apply for.
What they don’t say though, is that ANY area students can apply for SEVERAL of these scholarships and you DON’T have to be a student at that particular high school to apply. Not every local scholarship is for that high school’s students ONLY.
Check out each scholarship and read the requirements carefully. Many require students to live in a certain county, school district, or part of the state.
Don’t bother applying if you do not meet every single requirement, but go ahead and fill out that application and write the essay if you DO qualify.

Local scholarships have much less competition than national scholarships, so GO FOR IT!
