Healthy Home College Scholarship

Olshan Foundation Solutions, a home repair service company, is offering a $1000 college scholarship to students 16 years and older.  Recent high school graduates and current college students (including grad students and adult learners) are qualified to apply for this scholarship.  Here are all the details:

  • $1000 award
  • Open to students 16 years and older who will attend an accredited university in the fall of 2015
  • Minimum G.P.A. 2.75
  • No financial need requirement
  • Online application submission, with official school transcripts sent separately
  • Open to U.S. students
  • Deadline:  August 15, 2015

Winning Tips:  This is a summer scholarship, which typically means less competition.  There are a few unique submission requirements, so the guidelines should be read and followed carefully.  In addition to the online application that is emailed to the company, applicants are required to submit a 30 second video summary of the essay portion via Instagram to the company Facebook page found here.  The essay is prompt is, “Describe your motivation and/or decision to pursue a degree in your chosen area. What do you hope to do with your degree once you’ve completed your schooling” and must be 500 words or less.  The official school transcripts must be sent to the address provided on the application and received no later than August 15, 2015.  What “Healthy Home” means to the student and the background of Olshan Foundation Solutions should be brought into the essay to align with the question asked.  Learn about the background of the company here.
