HotelsCheap College Scholarship

Here is a $1500 college scholarship that is offered twice a year to students.

This is a $1500 award that is offered to students 16 and older twice a year, in the fall and in the spring.  Here are all the important details:

• Open to U.S. students 16 and older
• High school seniors, college students, grad students, and adult learners all eligible to apply
• Scholarship money may be used for tuition, books, or housing
• (2) $1500 college scholarship awards offered each year
• Deadlines:  October 15 and April 15
• No minimum G.P.A. requirement (G.P.A simply shared on application)
• No financial need requirement
• No ACT or SAT scores shared on the application
• Application consists of 4 essay questions
• Online only
• No transcripts or letters of recommendation required

Winning Tips:  Students need to keep in mind that this scholarship is awarded from a travel company and use the essay questions to get creative and use travel, hotels, and anything to do with tourism to impress the judges. The judges are looking for “students whose responses are the most persuasive, compelling, and well-written”. Answering the essay questions completely is always important, as well as grammar, spelling, and punctuation. 

Students need to write their essays using a writing program and then copy and paste them before submitting the online scholarship application, rather than writing directly into the app to avoid any loss of information.
