How to Win College Scholarships eBooks Update
Exciting news!!!
The 2023 versions of the How to Win College Scholarships ebooks are now available!
Have you missed me? I have been hard at work updating my scholarship guide ebooks, and I am proud and excited to share that they are FINISHED!
I started out by intending to add just a few updates and fine-tune both the parent and student versions, but then I started writing…and writing…and writing.
Before I knew it, the original 87 pages grew to 115 pages of content that will help you and your student immensely in the scholarship process.
So, what’s new?
Added to the 2023 versions are the following, plus much more:
- The Personal Statement
- Scholarship Stacking/Displacement
- Abbreviations in the College and Scholarship Process
- Links to Scholarship Lists by Levels in School
- Links to Scholarship Lists by Student Majors and Specific Factors
- College and Scholarship Timelines
- Links to Additional Resources (Recommended books, programs, free tools, etc.)
- Extra Motivation (Especially in the Student Version)
- Details about the Scholarship Toolkit Organizer
The feedback from the new 2023 version has been fantastic; as this mom shares,
“I’m so thankful for your material in general but the new version prompted me to finish reading the ebook!
I love the true story references from your experiences and other parents’ experiences.”
If you do not have any version of my How to Win College Scholarships ebooks, here is a sneak peek with the table of contents for the parent version:
The student version is similar but written to the student with extra motivation (It often works better when students hear from someone other than their parents. Trust me, I’ve been there.), specific strategies for current college students, and ideas on how students can work with a group of their peers to accomplish more scholarship work.
Don’t wait.
The earlier you and your student begin the scholarship process, the more comfortable you will both be, and the chances of scholarship success will improve significantly.
This is why I encourage you to check out scholarships open to younger students, as many parents assume college scholarships are only open to seniors in high school or current college students.
(Included in the 2023 versions are lists of scholarships for each level of student, beginning in elementary school.)

This parent says it best, “I have used the guidelines from Monica Matthews’ ebook. This was such a great starting point…definitely my “go-to” on how to start the process of scholarship applications. In addition, I have purchased Monica’s Scholarship Toolkit Organizer, which is a great way to organize materials and monitor deadlines (rather than notes written all over the place).
The ebook provides you with guidelines and tips that are best practices. Our school’s guidance office only provided a minimal list of scholarships. Monica is tremendous in offering potential scholarship information or answering any questions I may have (that is worth her weight in gold). My son had success winning 15 scholarships (local and national). He was a good student, but nothing like some of the stats I have read from other parents. So it is possible…keep applying!” D.E., Indiana

If selected as a winner, this scholarship would help me pay for books and other nursing materials that I need. I plan on becoming a Nurse. I will use the knowledge I gain to help others in life.
