Open to high school students graduating this calendar year and who have been accepted into a college, university, trade school, or design school. Students must be studying Arts – fine arts, music, performing arts on visual arts. Natural science – biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, or earth science. Social science – anthropology, economics, geography, political science, sociology, or history. Or languages, linguistics, literature, and mathematics. Philosophy, psychology, or religious studies.

Open to students who are currently enrolled full-time in an accredited United States technical institute, 2/4 year college/university with a program in construction management, secondary votech school or tuition bearing apprenticeship program in the traditional building trades (e.g. carpentry, HVAC, electrical, or related fields of study). Students must plan to enroll, or be enrolled, in an approved trade-related program at an accredited two-year school (technical/vocational school or college) in the United States with a focus on Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, or Construction Management. HSVMA Compassionate Care Veterinary Student Scholarships
Open to students who are currently in their first, second, and third years at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school in the US, Canada, the Caribbean, or the UK. The scholarships will be awarded to veterinary students who (1) demonstrate an interest in animal welfare, animal rights, or animal protection issues and (2) represent a commitment to equitable access and inclusion in veterinary medicine via service or lived experience.

Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship
Open to current or incoming undergraduate students (ages 27 and younger) enrolled in a U.S. community college or four-year university. Candidates must demonstrate how they are providing service and/or leadership in efforts to end HIV or help those living with it; fight against stigma, denial, racism, and hate; and how their studies, career plans, or public service will contribute to advancing social justice.

Women in Technology Scholarship (WITS)
At the time of award, students must be enrolled at, or accepted into, either a two or four‐year college or university within the United States for the current upcoming school year. At the time of scholarship payment, students must be enrolled for classes at a college or university within the United States for the Fall semester. These women must be planning a career in computer science, information technology, management information systems, or another related field.

Hi Jessica. They are legit but are also more like contests or sweepstakes. If you decide to apply for them, make sure you follow the advice that I share in this post. Two of my boys have won scholarships from these companies, so I know they pay out, but don’t consider them real scholarships. I hope that helps! 🙂
When the scholarships say for Seniors, since these are for June deadlines am I assuming they are for the graduates of 2023 not 2024?
Yes, they are meant for college-bound seniors in the current graduating class.
If we have incoming seniors in high school and they are awarded any of these scholarships, can the funds be held until next summer when they register for college? Also if the kids are in high school but are taking college courses are they allowed to apply for scholarships that are for current college students? thanks!
Hi, Susan! First, the scholarships open to high school seniors on this list are usually referring to the class of 2024.
High school students who are in dual enrollment are usually NOT eligible for apply for scholarships open to current college students, but you can have your students email the scholarship providers to double check. I hope that helps! 🙂
Concern: How many people receive this list? I love this list and we work off of it. However, many are just 1 scholarship each. My child writes well but I know he isn’t the best out there. How can we get non-local scholarships with so much comparable competition. Yes Ive read the e-book. All the prep in the world doesn’t make up for skill. I love your efforts but wonder how much they will help us. Just discouraged today.

There are so many other sources, including local scholarships which have less competition.
