Do you know YOUR state’s FAFSA deadline?
Each state has a different FAFSA deadline. Find out what yours is in this important post!
After January 1st of each year, the FAFSA can be submitted at www.fafsa.ed.gov. No matter what your income level, take the time to fill out and submit your FAFSA! Why? Many schools and scholarship applications require that you submit the FAFSA before they will award you any aid or college scholarships.
UPDATE: AS OF 2016, FAFSA SUBMISSIONS BEGIN ON OCTOBER 1, but for 2023 the opening will be in mid-December.
What many people don’t know is that each state has its very own FAFSA deadline, which in many cases is different from the federal submission deadline each year. Make sure that you submit your FAFSA by YOUR very own state’s deadline to get the most financial aid possible.
Even better, submit your FAFSA as soon as possible after the first of the year, and remember that it needs to be submitted prior to EACH year you or your student is in college, beginning in the senior year of high school.

Is this program limited 2 some countries, or is it general 4 students all over d world?
Hi Nelson, the FAFSA is for US citizens and permanent residents to apply for federal student aid. International students may also file a FAFSA however, to help universities assess student need.
