October college scholarships have less competition because many students are busy with sports, school clubs, band, applying for college, getting settled in at college, or are under the incorrect assumption that all scholarships are due in the spring.

With students so busy, those who do apply for early-deadline scholarships have a greater chance of winning.

• $1500 Award
• Open to graduate or undergraduate students attending or planning to enroll in a United States college or university for the Spring Semester of 2023
• Deadline:  October 1

• $500 Award
• Open to all college students
• Deadline:  October 1 (offered every other month)

The Home School Scholars Scholarship

• (3) $500 Awards
• Open to homeschooled high school seniors.
• Deadline:  October 1

The Starfish Scholarship

• $1000 Award
• Open to college-bound high school seniors, college students, or graduate students who are legal residents of the United States. The applicant must currently reside in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia.
• Deadline:  October 1

JMJ Phillip Group College Scholarships

• $1000 Award
• Open to college-bound high school students and current college students who will major or are majoring in STEM (science, technology, engineering, or math).
• Deadline:  October 1 (and also January 1, April 1, and July 1)

Rosy Rewards Scholarship

• (2) $250 Awards
• Open to students enrolled in a cosmetology, barber, or esthetics program in the US or Canada resulting in a cosmetology, barber, or esthetics license. Continuing education programs or students with an existing cosmetology, barber, or esthetics license do not qualify.
• Deadline:  October 1

• $1000 Award
• Open to college students of any age, with any type of disability, including but not limited to physical disabilities, medical conditions, mental or psychiatric conditions, speech and language, learning disabilities, behavioral conditions, and all other conditions.

• $1000 Award
• Open to students who plan on seeking a degree in Law Enforcement

Gen.G Foundation Scholarship

• (10) $10,000 Awards
• Open to undergraduate students of all majors interested in gaming, esports, entrepreneurship, journalism, or content creation, including international students enrolled in a 4-year US-accredited university or college for the 2023-2024 school year.

The Responsify Empowering Others Scholarship

• $1000 Award
• Open to students who are enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as full-time undergraduate or graduate students at an accredited US college or university for the semester that they are applying to receive the scholarship.
