The Artful Aesthetic Joybird Scholarship is an award that does not require letters of recommendation, financial need, or a minimum GPA.

If you are currently enrolled in college (or headed there next fall) and want to win a $1,000 scholarship to help cover expenses, consider entering the Artful Aesthetic Joybird Photography Scholarship. Joybird will award a $1,000 scholarship to one highly motivated student who can thoughtfully and creatively respond to the prompt.

Take a photo that represents your overall aesthetic (i.e. a space, an object, a scene, a selfie) and post it to Instagram, tagging @joybird and using the hashtag #joybirdscholarship2019. In the caption, tell us why the item or place featured in your photo is representative of your overall aesthetic. Finally, submit an essay telling us how your overall aesthetic contributes to how you want to be seen in the world in 500 words or less.

Joybird, alongside a panel of social media influencers, will select one (1) winner on December 15, and notify them over email. If you are selected, a member of the Joybird team will email you to confirm the details and will work with your school to deposit the funds into your account. The winner will be publicly announced on the Joybird blog. All submissions may be shared on Joybird social media accounts.
To Be Eligible
● All submissions must be received by midnight PST on December 1.
● You must be a graduating senior in high school or a freshman, sophomore, or junior in college or trade school and at least 16 years of age.
● We reserve the right to verify the date of your high school graduation and/or college enrollment.
● Each entrant affirms that they have met all eligibility requirements and releases their entry to be used for any purpose by Joybird.
