How does a Scholarship Advent Calendar sound?
A Scholarship a Day Keeps the Loans Away!
How will this work?
Beginning on December 1st and ending on December 24th, I will share one scholarship a day on my How to Win College Scholarships Facebook page and also in my Facebook group, Scholarship Help and College Talk for Parents. (Go check them out now and get ready to participate!)
My goal is to post scholarships that do not have a ton of applying restrictions. (Financial need, specific college majors, etc.)
The majority of them will be awards that are open to many different levels of students with different guidelines:
- Essay
- No Essay
- Online-only
- Mailed-in
The scholarships will have various deadlines, so get your scholarship list ready to add the awards that you or your student will be submitting.
Be sure to use the tips in this post to build a strong list and win more scholarships!
So how do you open these magical boxes for the virtual scholarship advent calendar?
SAVE THE DATE! (Update: All the awards are listed below)
On December 1st, go to my Facebook page right here or my Facebook group (parents only) here and look for the “Scholarship Advent Calendar” post.
Starting on December 1st, I will be adding one scholarship each day to that same post.
Click into each award and see if you or your student qualifies to apply and if so, add it to your scholarship list.
For each scholarship, make a note of the deadline and when you or your student will submit the application.
Make a scholarship plan and stick to it.
Let’s have fun applying for scholarships as we countdown the days to Christmas together!
