Scholarship Points – An Easy Way to Win Scholarship Money?
Is it really possible to win scholarship money with points? Are scholarships such as this legitimate?
[Updated for 2022]
I have two definite thoughts about this program:
1. Someone has to win and the scholarship winners are clearly and frequently posted on the site each month.
2. Doing surveys and signing up for websites is very time-consuming and may lead to NO scholarship money at all.
Because of #1, students (or parents for their students) can spend a few minutes a day earning Scholarship Points, but because of #2, Scholarship Points should NEVER be the ONLY method of trying to win money for college.
I’ve read about students who save up thousands of points for a certain drawing, only to be bitterly disappointed when they didn’t win. Visit the Scholarship Points Facebook page and read posts from students (especially international students hoping to study in the U.S.) who are desperate for college scholarship money and see ScholarshipPoints as their means of getting it.
UPDATE #2: In December 2021, my youngest son won a $1000 scholarship from ScholarshipPoints!!!
Are they legit? Absolutely! ~ Monica Matthews
The bottom line here is, spend a few (A FEW!) minutes a day checking out the latest offers from Scholarship Points and earning points to put into the scholarship drawings. There are LOTS of drawings to choose from, ranging from seasonal or holiday-based drawings (Oktoberfest Scholarship, Cheeseburger Heaven Scholarship, anyone?) to big awards ($10,000) given a few times a year.
Winning Tips: In addition to the advice above, make it a habit every Tuesday to grab some easy scholarship points with codes shared via social media. 100 point codes are given on Twitter and Facebook.
By doing almost nothing, a student can grab 450 points a week to use for the scholarship drawings of their choice. (2022 Update: Students now earn 50 points a day just for logging in.)
To avoid emails cluttering up their inbox, students need to set up a special email address as I share in this post just for programs like Scholarship Points, making sure this email is checked regularly, as this is how students are contacted if they win a scholarship.

FREE TOOL: Find affordable colleges. Compare tuitions for all of the colleges on your list. CLICK HERE
Be aware that if the student does not respond to the email within 3 days, the scholarship is forfeited and another winner is chosen.
No personal information, such as a student’s social security number, should ever be shared when completing the online surveys or activities for points.
