College Scholarships for Gamers – Video Game Esports Scholarships
Here is a list of gaming scholarships, but do not apply for any award until you have learned the S.M.A.R.T. strategies found in How to Win College Scholarships.

Scholarships for Gamers – Esports Awards
Open to all U.S. high school and college students with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
Award Amount: $2000
Deadline: July 31
Open to students who identify as women intending to pursue or working as an early professional in a tech career in game development including: art, animation, programming, and engineering.
Award Amount: $2500
Deadline: May 31
Open to undergraduate students of all majors interested in gaming, esports, entrepreneurship, journalism, or content creation, including international students enrolled in a 4-year US-accredited university or college for the 2023-2024 school year.
Award Amounts: (10) $10,000
Deadline: October 2
Video game-loving students may also be interested in joining robotics teams such as FIRST Robotics.

Entertainment Software Association (ESA) Foundation LGBTQ+ Service Scholarships
Open to students who meet these requirements:
Woman, nonbinary, or gender-nonconforming; LGBTQ+; OR racial/ethnic minority
Actively performing service or volunteer work for an LGBTQ+ community
Pursuing a degree leading to a career in video game arts and sciences, competing on or managing your college esports team/club, or pursuing streaming content creation
Enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited four-year college or university in fall 2023
U.S. citizen
Award Amount: (30) $3000
Deadline: May 1
Warner Bros. Reach Honorship Program Scholarships
Three different scholarships open to high school seniors who will be studying animation in college. Two of the awards have specific California residency requirements and one is open to all U.S. high school seniors.
Award Amounts: $5,000 (Plus paid summer internships at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California while in college.)
Deadline: March 1

Girls Make Games Scholarship Fund
Open to U.S. college-bound high school seniors who identify as a woman or non-binary person. Students must show an Interest in pursuing a degree in a field related to video game development. (Animation, Interactive Media Design, Game Art, Game Design, Sound Production, Computer Engineering, Digital Arts, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Software Engineering and Development, etc.)
Award Amount: $10,000 ($2,500/year)
Deadline: May 28
There are several scholarship opportunities open to students pursuing careers in various sections of the gaming industry.

The RIG Future Academy Scholarship
Open to high school seniors and current undergraduate and graduate students in accredited U.S. colleges and universities who reside in the United States.
Award Amount: (3) $5000
Deadline: October 9
