Where to find scholarships for college

Hello, Scholarship Searchers!

The summer is FLYING by! Today I have another wonderful guest blogger post for you. Read her advice and then get out there and FIND SCHOLARSHIPS for college. Remember, just 15 minutes a day will get you ahead of the game and ready to win that scholarship $$$!!!

As this series of guest blog posts by Felecia Hatcher, the author of The “C” Students Guide to Scholarships continues, we will carry on with the subject of where to look to find great scholarships that you will qualify for. No matter what you’ve been told about needing a 4.0 to win scholarships, you hopefully know by now that, that is simply not true.

There is nothing wrong with being an “average” student! It just means that you might need to work a little bit harder to find scholarship dollars.

As we told you in our first blog post, the first place you should begin your scholarship search is at your school. After that, you should take your search to cyberspace. In today’s world of technology and instant information, you can find an abundance of scholarships just by typing a few words into Google’s search engine.

Be sure you look for more scholarships outside the big scholarship databases by typing in the word “scholarship” along with your city, your country, your state, your dream college, etc. This will allow you to find less well-known opportunities in addition to the big awards the databases told you about.
