If you want to win college scholarships, you need to take the time to write the essays that are required in most quality scholarship applications.
Most students back away from writing college scholarship essays, so that makes the competition less and the chances of winning greater.
In other words, fewer students apply for scholarships with an essay requirement, and more students spend their time entering scholarship contests.
